To contribute photography, use the Contribute Photography form below. Uploaded images may be no more than 1 MB (1024 KB) in size. Photographers, please note that your photography may be displayed both in the gallery or alongside submitted fiction.

To contribute fiction, use the form below. The first step is to choose a subject. You can use one of the 63 terms around which the novella was written (listed under the “browse” section of the website), or–better yet–you can come up with your own term related to the North American Family.
Examples might include:
Afro
Babysitter
Cars, Used
Cousins
Drama
The second step is to take a few minutes and write a fictional vignette, anywhere from five to 750 words, to accompany your entry. (You can see samples by clicking on the spraycans on the homepage.)
Another way of doing this would be to take one of those notebook entries you’ve got lying around–the one that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere–and come up with a term to submit it under. Or, alternatively, you could write a short fictional response to one of the images on the website.
All submissions will be read by Garth Hallberg, author of A Field Guide To The North American Family. Accepted submissions will be posted, along with your names, to www.afieldguide.com, and I’ll add your bios and links to your own websites, to the “contributors” page. Hopefully it will turn into something funky.
